LookFantastic Beauty Box October!
It’s finally here! The LookFantastic Beauty Box! I wanted to order the September one but didn’t want to do it over my phone before bed – and next day it was sold out. So when the October box got available, I pre-ordered it as fast as I could. And before it arrived, the November box got available – so I pre-ordered that one as well, not knowing if I’d like the boxes or hate them.
So, what’s in there and what do I think?
All the items can be bought at LookFantastic, which makes it so easy if you decide to re-buy something. I’ve written the amount I got in the box and what it would cost, followed buy what you can buy fullsize on the site and what it costs. The conversions are aproximate.

If you look at the prices only, this box is definitely worth your money. For 15 GBP you get products worth around 55 GBP, aprox. 520 kr. Wether you like the products or not is an entirely different matter. The Balance Me and the Gatineau Smoothing Creme are buy far the most expensive items in the box. Those good-quality, expensive products you’d never get to try on an SU.
The downside is, I’m 21 (22 in 2 months, but shh!) so I don’t really do the wrinkle-treatment yet. I know some may say it’s a good idea to begin now and bla bla bla, but the thing is, I don’t fear wrinkles. They’re gonna show no matter what and I don’t think spending tons of money on products like this is going to make enough of a difference. One of the products even says to apply “directly on the line” – I don’t have any!
I do have a mother, however, so I just got some very neat, very cheap, things to add to her Advent Calendar! So for me, it’s still definitely worth the money because that’s the way with these boxes – sometimes you love them, sometimes the products aren’t your thing.
I’m not too fond of citrus smells in products, to put in nicely, so I would have preferred any other smell to the Korres shower gel. But for a citrus smell, it’s not so horrible so I might actually give it a try. I have so many shower gels at the moment that I’m slowly starting to drown in them, so I think it’s time to use some of them up.
The L’Oréal products are definitely what I’m most excited about in this box. My husband got something similar before Goodiebox discontinued their man-box and he LOVES it. And I must admin, though I wouldn’t have picked that smell out myself, it’s definitely not bad and I’ll definitely use it – especially the masque!
This Works Sleep + Pillow Spray is the last product and definitely the most fascinating one. It says to spray it on your bed linen and gives statistics over how many people sleep better, wake up less often during the night, etc. Since I’ve always been an insomniac and am definitely in one of those “periods” right now where sleep sucks donkey butt, I’m looking forward to trying this out. I don’t believe in an ounce but it’s gonna be fun enough to try – even though the smell isn’t my favorite, to be honest.
If you’re interested, you can still pre-order November’s box on the site!
