Cheap quality toys!

As a parent, you spend a lot of money on expensive pieces of plastic your kid chose to ignore because he wants to play with an empty Cola bottle instead… That’s just the way it is. But they do need toys and I do like saving money, so of course I was thrilled when I found MyToys.

It’s a German based firm with all the same toys that we know from Denmark, only extremely cheaper. Right now he doesn’t need more toys so I just went ahead and ordered for his birthday in June. Yes, it’s February. I know.

Blog2 Blog3BEEBOO 100 Building Blocks

100 wooden building blocks for 12,99 euro which is approximately 90 kr. Compared to most Danish stores and websites, that price just can’t be beaten. I personally love building blocks so I’m looking forward to playing with him with them (:

Blog1Fisher Price Little People Pirate Ship

At half price of, I just had to get this FP pirate ship. It cost 149 kr which is much, much cheaper than what you have to pay for Fisher Price here. We already have the tractor, the bus and the plane so the collection is quietly growing.

The last thing I’ve ordered is something from a Danish webpage but I have to mention it anyways since I just love it.

Blog1Elephant birthday train

A birthday train! Each year you can change the number out to match the kid’s age and light the tiny candles to make the birthday table look nice. There are quite a few models to choose from but we really fell for this one with the elephants. For 179 kr it actually wasn’t that bad 😉

More exams and tiredness

I’ve had an extremely bad day today. Amongst other wonderful things (someone just shoot me now, thanks) I have to write an entire week’s paper this evening. A problem in itself which doesn’t at all get better by the fact that I feel really bad and really, really tired.

I’ve eaten once today (if you don’t count a half box of cookies) and my brain is completely fried. I’ve only written 5 pages out of 10 and I really don’t know what to write anymore. Normally it wouldn’t be a problem but it’s pretty tough when you just want to sleep.

At least tomorrow I have nothing to do because it’s not until Saturday that we get the next exam assignment.

Sigh.

Product Haul – FragranceDirect #2

Yup, another product haul from FragranceDirect (and another one is on it’s way) – are you starting to sense how much I like that site? 😉

This time I bought a few things from my mom again but they’re not in the picture, because I already put them in my gift box. I ordered these things in January but the shipping does take a little while, so you’re getting it now.

DSC_0044

I don’t know why it looks so dusty, I think it’s because the light setting in that area is crap

Bourjois Mineral Matte Make Up Brush, sold out – I bought two of these (so I now have three) and I’m glad I did ’cause they sold out! I really like these brushes, they’re easy to hold and to use, and they don’t take up any space at all.

NYC Smooth Skin Pressed Face Powder, 18 kr – Another powder because I want to try a few different ones out. This one is translucent so there shouldn’t be any problems. As a bonus, this one has a little mirror.

Manhattan 123 Clear Compact Powder, 9 kr – Yes, I bought one of these last time as well, but even though I do like it, I have to wear a very thin layer because it’s a shade too dark for me during winter. This one is vanilla and I hope it fits my skin tone better.

L’Oreal 24H Super Liner Gel Eyeliner 03 Violet Black, sold out – this one is sold out so I can’t link to it. But it’s got a purple shimmer to it and I’m looking very much forward to try it out.

Almay Nearly Naked Foundation, 27 kr – Another foundation in case the other one fails, too. Should blend easily and nourish with grape seed.

Revlon Colorstay Under Eye Concealer, 22,7 kr GBP – Revlon should be so good that I decided to buy one of these in medium last time. And I love it! So I bought another one! It’s a pretty basic under-eye concealer but has fancy applicator, is lightweight, oil-free and with SPF 15 UVA and UVA protection.

Bourjois Elastic Mascara 41 Black Unlimited, 27 kr GBP – The other mascara I bought last time is really nice but not was I was looking for, so I decided to try this one out as well. It’s said to be able to extend the lashes up to 130% of their natural length but what I really want to know if it clumps and if it looks the way I like it!

Manhattan Clearface Perfect Matt Foundation, 1.99 GBP – Aaaand another “double” 😉 This one is in beige because the last one (in Natural) is way too dark for me. I haven’t even tried it because it’s 100% obvious so that one is going into the giveaway box.

I’m really hoping some of these foundations and powders fit my skin tone since it’s such a pain in the ass finding the correct one for my ridiculously pale skin that just so happens to have a yellow undertone instead of the typical Scandinavian pink, which means pretty much nothing fits.

As always, everything is paid for by yours truly 😉

My February calendar

14th – 21st: Home assignment exam. About something that’s really boring and that I don’t know much about.

18th: Written exam. Have to get up at 6.30 and it’s in an entirely different building than campus. Bonus: I haven’t had a chance to actually study for it and last time I failed.

19th: Examination at hospital. Folder says: “Minor discomfort may occur” and adds a “PS – you’ll pee blood for the next three days”

21st: Visit parents in law. Pretend I want to stay there for 10 hours (they’re really nice but I’m so stressed being social takes more from me than doing the exams)

22nd: Next weekly home assignment starts. About books I haven’t read and won’t have time to read.

1st: Last date by which my BA thesis must be signed. My tutor hasn’t even written me an e-mail yet. Let alone given me her office times so that I can actually get the signature.

2nd: Lay down. Die.

ExamsAccurate meme is accurate and let’s ignore the “i” in there

And after all of this? Well, my son starts daycare April 1st so I have 1 1/2 month to actually study before the next batch of exams in late May. Oh, and did I mention I have to write my freaking BA paper during my entire summer vacation?

SIGH. Buuuut….

28th: Find a giveaway winner! So remember to participate here!

Exams, exams, EXAMS!

They’re killing me!

ExamEvery student, everywhere

I’m so tired of having to take and re-take exams because they judge so hard at least half the class fails every time. Sadly, this time I’m part of the failing group since I’ve been sick and busy taking care of my son to actually have time to properly study.

I’m currently writing a home-assignment as as soon as I finish that one, the very next they I get the next one. So for two weeks I’m stuck with exams. As a bonus I have a written exam at 9 in the morning, in grammar of all things, in the middle of the home-assignment and the day after the grammar exam I have to go to the hospital and do a very unpleasant examination. Did I mention I have a huge phobia for hospitals and needles?

On top of that we’re going to go visit my mother-in-law and have guests. So if I don’t update the blog for a while, don’t think I died – I probably just went into a coma or something.

Take care, lovelies!
